How it all began

Steve Alvarez Brown, widely recognized as Super GT, is very well-known in the world of sim racing for his exceptional driving skills and engaging and informative content creations. After spending some time with him at various events at the Nürburgring we decided that his impressive performance and achievements in popular sim racing games like Gran Turismo, paired with his determination and charismatic personality would make him a precious asset for our BILSTEIN race team. And so we asked him to join us – and he said yes!

Steve’s journey into the realm of sim racing was ignited by a lifelong fascination with cars and motorsports. He shares his passion for motorsports and his dedication for racing with his audience not only online but also personal when he meets fans at the racetrack or at signing sessions.

Being the approachable, humorous, and dedicated racer that he is, we really are excited to have him as a successful driver on our BMW, and we look forward to the upcoming races and our joint journey.

A few personal questions for Steve

1. What experiences in motorsports are you bringing with you?

I’ve been racing since 2001 – having done 20 years of kart racing. In 2022 I started car racing and I’ve competed in Mazda MX5, VW Fun Cup and Radical SR1.

2. Which was your first car?

A baby blue Vauxhall Corsa. The car was awful, was very unreliable but I loved it.

3. What are your hobbies outside of motorsports?

Making YouTube videos takes up most of my time but is my biggest passion. Aside from that – fitness, music and reading.

4. Who is your biggest inspiration in motorsports?

Lewis Hamilton and Kevin Estre. Extremely fast and extremely professional.

5. Your goal for the race team?

I’d love to achieve some great results. If we can podium that’d be great. Then perhaps we could go for a race win. It is also great to be at the Nürburgring representing a famous brand. I want to do this as best I can.

6. What is your motivation to join us on this adventure?

To be on the biggest stage with the best drivers. The Nurburgring 24 is an iconic race and to take part would be a massive life moment.
